I am so proud to host this evening with my friend Maura who has been compared to the grand dames of jazz: Billie Holiday, Sara Vaughn and Nina Simone. Possibly, that's because she approaches the songs in a manner that emphasizes a strong personal connection with the material. Whatever the case, this Banff Centre-trained singer is sure to soothe the souls into the evening. Tickets $20 includes a copy of Maura's new release "unsteady" currently being played on jazz and folk radio programs across the country, please join Maura at Scarboro United Church together along with Michael Lent on Bass, Russell Broom on Guitar, Bob Tildesley on Horn, for her official cd release.
