This event will proceed rain or shine!

Those of you who have never attended the event, please note that this festival is extremely popular and it is therefore highly recommended that you purchase your ticket way ahead of time. They have a very strict limit on the number of tickets that they can sell. Please only sign up after you have purchased your ticket.

We will be meeting at 5 p.m. (see information below) to go in as a group. The coordinator will bring a tarp and try to get a spot as close to the mainstage as possible.

The 31st annual Calgary Folk Music Festival (July 22-25) is a four-day, family-friendly cultural and musical jamboree at beautiful Prince's Island Park featuring 60+ artists from 15 countries on seven stages to daily audiences of 12,000. The Festival is about great music and good spirits.

You like blues? We've got it. Prefer Celtic or traditional music? We've got plenty of that too, plus roots, world music, cutting-edge sounds, bluegrass, funk, country, hip-hop, dub, old-timey, and more. See artists in concert on the evening mainstage or, during the day, on six other more intimate stages, where sessions bring together musicians in unpredictable and magical collaborations that can become Celtic kitchen parties, country hoe-downs, Southern Baptist tent revivals, singer/songwriter song swaps, world music collaborations or all-out blues jams.

Schedule: -Friday:
- Gates open at 2 p.m.
- Session Stages from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
- Mainstage 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Meet at the main entrance to the festival grounds, which is at the east end of the island. My cell phone is 403-888-8482 if you are late.
I will secure the best spot I can in front of the main stage or as close as I can.
Volunteers willing to go earlier to get a spot are appreciated.
