Itinerary:
During the 2009-2010 season, we decided to set up a multi-concert event with the CPO. It was a great time, so we are doing it again for the 2010-2011 season. There are a few changes, based on this year's experience, to make things run a little smoother. Please read ALL details carefully before signing up.

There are seven shows in this series:
Friday, September 17 - Viva Mexico - $39
Experience the authentic rhythms and symphonic sounds of Mexico! Renowned Mexican conductor Enrique Batiz brings hits from his homeland, including the Canadian premiere of Manuel Ponce's lyrical Violin Concerto starring Dalia Kuznecovaite, winner of the illustrious Henryk Szeryng Competition in Mexico. With the pre-show activities highlighting Mexican culture in Calgary, including the colourful Calmeca Dancers, this is a fiesta you won't want to miss!

Saturday, October 16 - Radio Days - $39
Back by popular demand, Five by Design and the CPO travel to the golden age of radio with unforgettable hits like Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy and Chattanooga Choo-Choo. Brought to life by authentic 1940's costumes and retro stage design, this theatrical review is pure entertainment.

Saturday, January 15 - Wizard of Oz in Concert*** - $39
Dorothy, Toto, and the Wicked Witch of the West come alive on the big screen as the Orchestra provides the live soundtrack to The Wizard of Oz. Moviegoers will be treated to this Oscar-winning film as it has never been seen or heard before. A classic for all ages - costumes welcome!

Saturday, February 26 - Arabian Nights - $39***
Journey to an exotic Arabian land with the alluring showpiece, Scheherazade. The musical myths continue with the premiere of Prometheus, the piano concerto by Grammy Award-winning composer, William Bolcom.

Saturday, March 19 - Cirque de la Symphonie*** - $57
Witness this astonishing troupe of acrobats, contortionists, dancers, and strongmen as they bring the magic of the cirque live to the Jack Singer Concert Hall. Marvel as aerialists fly overhead to the lush sounds of the full Orchestra.

Friday, March 25 - The Best of Fleetwood Mac - $39
With sultry vocals and powerful rhythms, Jeans 'n' Classics teams up with the Orchestra for a tribute to one of the world's most successful groups ever! Hear your favourite hits - Don't Stop, Dreams, Rhiannon, and more!

Saturday, May 21 - Eagles' Greatest Hits - $39
They brought us Life in the Fast Lane, Hotel California, and A Peaceful, Easy Feeling - as well as one of the best selling albums of all time. Now join the CPO and Jeans 'n' Classics for a tribute to the Eagles' greatest hits.

***These shows have an after party at Teatro, one of Calgary's hottest restaurants, where you will mix and mingle with special guests after the show. The cost for the after party is $50 each. Please indicate in your email if you would like to any.***

You may sign up for any or all of the shows. The price is listed beside each show. The price includes the cost of your ticket, a $1 CCC donation per show, and a $1 per ticket fee for postage and handling. The co-ordinator will MAIL all of your tickets to you once they arrive. You are responsible for notifying the co-ordinator of your correct mailing address and keeping track of your tickets. The co-ordinator assumes NO responsibility for tickets lost or mis-directed in the mail. If you wish to have your tickets sent registered mail, please add $8 to your total order amount. If you later discover you cannot attend a concert you have a ticket for, you are welcome to sell or give it to someone yourself. Co-ordinator will not be responsible in any way for these transactions.

Last year we bought enough tickets, that we got a small discount from the CPO. If we get a discount again this year, you will receive a cash refund for your portion of the discount at your first concert of the season.

Payment must be received by July 10 for all shows you wish to attend. No exceptions! You can either send an email money transfer, mail a cheque, or deliver cash to the coordinator. If you choose to mail a cheque, there will be an extra $5 added to your total bill to cover the cost of the extra banking involved. Any NSF cheques will result in you being responsible for ALL banking charges that result and your registration will be removed immediately.

Once you have decided which shows you wish to attend, email Michelle at michellehoult@yahoo.ca with the words "CPO Series" in the subject. List the shows you wish to attend and how you wish to pay. Payments are final, so please be sure of which shows you wish to attend BEFORE you send in your money!
