The trivia consisted of 60 questions in total: 45 were general trivia questions, five were thinking-type questions and 10 songs were played. The attendees were asked to name the artist of the songs. The winning team got a score of 54 and the last-place team got a score of 38.

Team ‘Bam’ consisting of Lynda H. and Roy P. took first place answering 54 out of the 60 questions correctly. As a result, they each won $25 gift certificates from Delta Hotels.

Honourable mention goes to the following teams:

Arabs - Paul H. and David McK.

Non Trivial - Lynn R. and Robert M.

Trivia Pirates - Angela H. and Jo G.

There was a random draw for the remaining two Delta gift certificates. Team Arab’s entry was pulled from the hat, rewarding Paul and David.

After 30 questions we took a brief intermission. Before we resumed the second half, for the first time we introduced three gag games. The teams were randomly picked and had the option of declining if they so desired. If the teams were successful in completing the gag, they were awarded an extra point. In the end, the extra point could be the difference between winning and losing. Mila and Judy were successful with the plunger and the toilet paper. Lynn and Robert were successful with the spoons. The highlight of the night, which caused us to giggle plenty, was Lynda's passing of the apple to Roy.

There wasn't much interest in karaoke this time. Everyone except Maria, Mila and Paul left. Rather than sing karaoke, we sat around the computer and heard the music we liked through You Tube.
